Protect provides an immediate onset of action, instantly blocking the dentin tubules inside and out. The complete kit affords a quick application that does not require a curing light or special applicator.
Protect Desensitizing Solution is indicated for
- Treatment of tooth sensitivity from hot/cold and tactile contact resulting from whitening procedures.
- Treatment of sensitivity occurring after professional tooth cleaning, scaling and root planing procedures.
- Treatment of hypersensitive exposed root surfaces.
Protect Desensitizing Solution has a "triple method of action":
- Conditioning acid removes smear layer to expose the tubule openings allowing liquid to penetrate.
- Liquid binds calcium and protein molecules in the tubules to provide deep, effective and long lasting plugs.
- Temporary varnish provides early relief by coating the surface occluding the tubules.
